13.0 POSITIONER
13.1 Using the Positioner Safely
The positioner must be monitored at all times when operating the KDR AU DDR. It is equipped with motion sensors that
will stop its movement when the light elds are broken (see Figure 13.1.1 and Table 13.1.1). It is designed to stop when
met with an obstruction, but precaution is necessary to avoid collision. It may pose a risk of pinching and squeezing.
NOTE: The motion sensors are a safety precaution only and should not be relied on during normal operation of
the positioner.

1, 2 Stop rotation and elevation of the tube end of the u-arm
3, 4, 5, 6 Stop rotation of the bucky and u-arm
7 Slows downward movement of the u-arm
