12.0 GENERATOR
12.1 Generator
The high frequency X-ray generator provides a 24 VAC, 150 Watt power source for the collimator lamp.
For routine maintenance, safety, and additional information for the CPI generator, see:
Communications & Power Industries “CMP 200/CMP 200 DR Series X-Ray Generator service manual”
For routine maintenance, safety, and additional information for the Sedecal generator, see:
Sedecal “Maintenance, HF Series Generators,” Technical Publication MA-1004R6
NOTE (Sedecal generators only): If the generator is not calibrated to the full range, taking an exposure outside
the calibrated range will result in a phantom exposure (a DAP meter, if installed, will read 0 dGy*cm2 with no
image.) There will be no error or warning. The Sedecal generator must be calibrated to the full range of exposure
settings to prevent such errors.
NOTE (Sedecal generators only): If connected, the room light will briey turn on when the generator is turned
on to show light function is working. X-ray is not emitted during the initial powering up of the generator.
