12.39 Checking the swingarm

– Check the swingarm for damage, cracking, and deformation.
» If the swingarm shows signs of damage, cracking, or deformation:
– Change the swingarm.
Info
A damaged swingarm must always be changed. Repair of the
swingarm is not authorized by KTM.
12.40 Checking the routing of the throttle cable
Preparatory work
– Remove the seat. ( p. 66)
– Remove the fuel tank. ( p. 70)

Main work

– Check the routing of the throttle cable.
The throttle cable must be routed behind the handlebar, on the right of the
upper frame tube, and to the carburetor.
» If the throttle cable is not routed as specified:
– Correct the routing of the throttle cable.
