Draining Cooling Water
A CAUTION
• Never remove the radia~lr cap while operating or
immediately after stoPpin9. Otherwise. hot water will
spout out from the radiator. Wait for more than ten minutes
to cool the radiator, before opening the cap.
1. Remove the radiator cap.
2. Open the drain cock (1), (2) and drain cooling water.
Draining Engine Oil
1. Place an oil pan underneath the drain plug.
2. Unscrew the drain plug (1), and drain engine oiL
(When reassembling)
32.4 to 37.3 N'm
Tightening torque
Dram plug
3.3 to 3.8 kQf·m
23.9
to 27.5 ft-Ibs
• IMPORTANT
• Use
the specified engine oil.
Refer to "LUBRICANTS. FUEl AND COOLING WATER". (See
page
S.G-2)
Air Cleaner and Battery
A CAUTION
•
When disconnecting the battery cables. disconnect the
ground cable from the battery first.
When connecting, connect the positive cable to the battery
first.
1. Open the bonnet.
2. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery_
3. Disconnect the positive cable from the battery.
4. loosen the intake pipe band (5).
5. Unscrew the air cleaner stay mounting screws, and remove
the air cleaner (1) together with the air cleaner stay (6) and
intake pipes (2).
6. Remove the battery retainer (3), and then dismount the
battery (4) from the frame.
Bonnet
1. Disconnect four 1 P connectors (1) from the head lights.
2. Unscrew
the mounting screws (2), and remove the bonnet (3)
from the bonnet stay (4).
