1.
Make
the
connections
as
shown
in
the
figure,
and
turn
on
switch
"SW1".
2. Increase
the
alternator
speed
so
that
the
pointer
of
the
ammeter swings
to
the
plus side.
3. Turn
off
switch
"SW1"
to
decrease
the
speed, and read
the
speed
at
which
the
voltage
is
equal
to
the
factory
specification.
4.
The
speed must be
below
the
factory specification.

1.
Make
the
connections

alternator

the
load
resistance

voltage
complies
with
the
factory
specification.
3.
Read
the
speed
at
which
the
current
is
equal
to
the
factory
specification.

The
speed must be
below
the
factory
specification.

Troubleshooting
1.
If
the
unit
does
not
generate
electricity.

Directly
ground
terminal
"F".
(Do
not
ground
any
terminal
other
than
terminal
"F".)
2) Perform a no-load characteristic
test
and an
output
test.
If
the
tests show
no
problem,
the
alternator
itself
is
not
defective.

If
the
output
voltage
is
too
high
.
Check
the
voltage
at
terminal
"F",
If
the
voltage
does
not
vary,
it
may
be
due
to
a
mulfuncting
regulator,
or
a
grounded
rotor
"F"
side
terminal.

Pulley
1,
With
the
hexagonal end
of
the
pulley
shaft
secured
with
a
double-ended
ratchet
wrench
as
shown
in
the
photo,
loosen
the
pulley
nut
with
a socket
wrench
and
remove
it
.
IMPORTANT
Be
sure
to
use hexagonal socket
wrench;
if
a
dodecagonal
socket
wrench
is
used,
the
hexagonal
head
of
the
pulley
shaft
may
be
damaged
and
cause
the
wrench
to
slip.
