Belt Tension
1.
Place
the
machine on level
ground.
and stop
the
engine.
2. Set
the
PTO
clutch lever
to
"ENGAGE"
position.
and measure
the
length
(l)
of
PTO
clutch spring (2).
3.
If
the
measurement
is
not
within
the
factory
specifications.
adjust
with
the
adjusting
nut
(1).

• IMPORTANT
•
When
replacing
the
front
PTO
belts
with
new
ones,
the
length
(L)
of
PTO
clutch
spring
(2)
should
be

(3.58
to
3.62 in.).
After
working
of
50 hours. be sure
to
readjust
the
length
(L)
to
the
factory
specifications.

the
clearance

between
the
tension arm (3) and
tip
of
adjusting screw

when
the
front
PTO
is
disengaged.

If
the
measurement
is
not
within
the
factory
specifications.
loosen
the
lock
nut
(4) and
turn
the
adjusting
screw (1)
to
adjust.
4.
After
adjusting
the
clearance
(L
1), measure
the
length
(L2)
of
brake spring (2).
5.
If
the
measurement
is
not
within
the
factory
specifications,
loosen
the
lock
nut
(5) and
turn
the
adjusting
nut
(6)
to
adjust.

the

see
that
the
PTO
brake is released
when
the
PTO
clutch is
engaged.
