Design modification notification No.0956-02
Notification : The change of Balance piston for J series
The balance pistons for J series have been changed as below;
1. Change the sizes of balance piston(P/N 30) and balance piston sleeve(P/N 33).
(associated with the change of specification of the J series unit to the forced oil supply
system)
170J：φ82 → φ70
220J：φ108 → φ95
280J：φ140 → φ127
2. The integration of balance piston(P/N 30) and balance piston housing(P/N 36)
(Balance piston housing is discontinued.)
3. Associated with above 2 “O”ring(P/N 35-1) is discontinued
4. Associated with above 2 the number of spring-pins(P/N 34) has been reduced from 3 to 2.
Related parts for this design are compatible when the changes below have been made. When using
balance piston which has not been changed, the following precautions below must be taken. (Parts
should be replaced at the earliest opportunity.)
Balance piston and balance piston sleeve should be replaced at the same time.
Remove the spring pin indicated as A in the figure below on the inner cover(P/N 734-1) of
balance piston cover.
