Steeringoperation
Thetractorhasahydraulicsteeringsystemwhichpro-
videsconveniencewhenoperatingthesteeringwheel.A
non-loadreactionsystemkeepsthesteeringwheelfrom
movingwhentheimpactofthefrontwheelstravelover
roughground.
Operatingnotes
•
Ifthereistoomuchofaloadinthefrontbucket,itcould
bedifculttooperatethesteeringwheel.Inthiscase,
reducethesizeoftheloadormovethetractorslowly
forwardwhileturningthesteeringwheelinthedirection
ofdesiredtravel.
•
Afterturningthesteeringwheelfully,donotturnthe
steeringwheelfullytothesamedirectionagain.Unnec-
essaryforceisapplied,whichcoulddamagethesteer-
ingsystem.
NOTICE:Donotholdthesteeringwheelfullytotheleftor
rightformorethan10seconds,itcouldcauseafailurein
thesteeringsystem.

Ifanabnormalsoundisheardwhileoperatingthesteer-
ingwheel,thismeansthatthereissomeairinthesteer-
ingcomponentsline.Inthiscase,turnthesteering
wheeltoleftandrightfullyandholdforabout5sec-
onds.Theairshouldbleedoutandtheabnormalnoise
shouldgoaway.Ifthesounddoesnotgoawaytake
yourtractortoyourauthorizedNEWHOLLANDdealer.

Whenoperatingthetractorincoldweather,theabnor-
malsoundmaybeheard.Inthiscase,warmupthe
tractorbeforeusingtoreducetheoilviscosity.
•
Ifyouusethetractorforalongperiodoftimewhile
turningthesteeringwheelfully,theoiltemperaturewill
increasewhichmaycausethereductionoftheproduct
lifeorthefailureofthehydraulicsteeringsystem.
NOTE:Iftheenginestops,thehydraulicpowerforthe
steeringsystemwillstop.Whichwillmakethesteering
wheelhardtoturn.
