Handling of This Product
1. Handle this product with care.
This product is a precision optical instrument. Do not subject it to impact or strong vibration.
2. Electromagnetic environment
Nikon recommends evaluating the electromagnetic environment of the installation site before using this
product.
Do not use this product close to strong electromagnetic radiation sources (example: unshielded
intentional RF sources). They may interfere with the proper operation of this product.
This product emits weak electromagnetic waves. So as to avoid degrading the performance of precision
electronic devices, do not install this product near such devices. If TV or radio reception is affected, move
the TV or radio further from this product.
This product complies with requirements of EMC directive (2014/30/EU) and IVD directive (98/79/EC).
Achieve electromagnetic compatibility to ensure satisfactory operation of the product.
This product is tested and in conformity with FCC regulations (FCC Part15 Subpart B: Radio
Frequency Device (commercial and industrial areas)).
Use this product only in the commercial or industrial area. Using this product in the residential area
may affect other devices.
3. Installation and storage environment
This product is a precision optical device. Using or storing it in an improper location may result in a failure
or degraded precision. Refer to “6.2 Physical Properties” for the installation and storage environment. In
addition, observe the following conditions.
Avoid high-temperature, high-humidity locations for installing or storing this product. Mold may occur
on the interior, or condensation may form on internal optical components, leading to failure or
degraded precision.
Install this product in a location that is free of dirt, dust, vibration, and risk of liquid spillage
Do not place and use this product in a closed space such as a locker or cabinet.
Place this product at least 10 cm away from the surrounding walls
Place this product in a place that allows for easy removal of the power cord from the AC inlet of the AC
adapter in the event of an emergency.
For safety, if this product is not to be used for an extended period, unplug the power cord from the AC
power socket.
When storing this product, keep it covered to avoid dust accumulation.
4. Fluorescence filter cube
The excitation filter inside the fluorescence filter cube is subject to high intensity illumination, which,
over time, affects its filtering characteristics. Replace it periodically.
High humidity may affect the filter characteristics. Do not use or store this product in a
high-temperature of high-humidity environment, and do not subject this product to sudden
temperature fluctuations as doing so might adversely affect the product. When the product is not in
use, we recommend that you store it together with drying agents inside a desiccator or hermetic
container.
