Preparation
Store the software data file for the version-up tool to a USB memory or SD card.
Precautions for Correct Use
If the current software version of the Sensor Controller is older than Ver.6.30, observe the fol-
lowing:
• Use a formatted USB memory stick or SD card to store the software data file for the version-
up tool.
• Store only the software data file for the version-up tool in the USB memory stick or SD card.
Precautions for Correct Use
Do not apply any changes to the software data file. The tool will check its size stored in the USB
memory stick or SD card. If there are unnecessary files or folder in it, the following dialog ap-
pears and the installation will be cancelled.
1 Prepare the OMRON recommended USB memory stick (FZ-MEM2G or FZ-MEM8G) or SD
card (HMC-SD291 or HMC-SD491).
2 Store the software data file for the version-up tool into the USB memory stick or SD card using
a PC.
Precautions for Correct Use
If the software version of the Sensor Controller is older than Ver.6.30, arrange a file of
VerupXP.exe just under the USB memory stick or SD card.
Updating the Version
1 Turn on the Sensor Controller.
Precautions for Correct Use
Connect only a mouse, monitor, and camera to the Sensor Controller to be updated and oper-
ate it. If other devices such as a USB switcher is connected, the Sensor Controller may not op-
erate correctly after the version was updated.
Check no USB memory stick or SD card are inserted into the Sensor Controller while it turns
off. Turn it on. The main window is displayed when it starts.
