The corresponding line in the single Pythagoras symbol g flashes
for the individual measured values. Immediately after the second
measurement, the calculated length is shown in the result line s of
the display 1 and the corresponding line of the single Pythagoras
symbol g stops flashing. The individual measured values are
shown in the top two lines of the display 1.
Note: Please note that angular errors (not a right angle) will lead
to incorrect results. Ensure that the measured distances lie on a
plane (alignment).
Double Pythagoras
In this function, Pythagoras’ Theorem is applied to two right triangles
that have a common leg.
This makes it possible to calculate the length of the base side of any
triangle. This function calculates the distance between two arbitrary
points and is especially useful for hard-to-reach measurement points.
Press the Function Selection button
e four times until the
double Pythagoras symbol g appears on the display 1.
Press the MEAS button r to measure the left hypotenuse h
(largest distance to left), one leg j (shortest distance to measured
surface) and the right hypotenuse k (largest distance to right)
(see also the section "Single measurements").
