IMPORTANT: The UP & DOWN Hydraulic Hoses must
be routed through the Stern Bracket and
to Cylinder Fittings prior to installing the
Cylinder.
INSTALLATION (CYLINDER FITTINGS):
STEP 1 With the UP & DOWN Hydraulic Hoses routed to
the Cylinder, pull enough slack so the hose labeled
UP reaches the uppermost Fitting and the hose
labeled DOWN reaches the lower Fitting.
STEP 2 Remove the blue plastic from the end of the UP
Hydraulic Hose Fitting and finger tighten it onto the
upper Cylinder Fitting.
STEP 3 While holding the Cylinder Fitting with a 1/2” Wrench turn the UP Hydraulic Hose
Fitting a quarter turn using a 5/8” Wrench. FIG 1
STEP 4 Install and tighten the DOWN Hydraulic Hose to the lower Cylinder Fitting using a
5/8” Wrench.
STEP 5 Install the Cylinder in the U-Channel and use Marine Ties to fasten the UP
Hydraulic Hose to the Cylinder.
IMPORTANT: When installing the Cylinder, ensure that the Hydraulic Cylinder Fittings are
facing towards the vessel. FIG 2
INSTALLATION (HPU):
STEP 1 Route the Hydraulic Hose to the HPU according to your preference.
STEP 2 Remove the blue plastic from the end of the DOWN Hydraulic Hose Fitting and
Finger Tighten it to the HPU Fitting.
Repeat this step for the UP Hydraulic Hose.
STEP 3 Turn the UP Hydraulic Hose fitting a quarter turn using a 5/8” Wrench. FIG 3
Repeat this step for the DOWN Hydraulic Hose.
INSTALLATION TOOLS:
• 1/2” Wrench
• 5/8” Wrench
• Zip-Ties
