QinQisusefulforServiceProviders,allowingthemtouseVLANsinternallyintheir“transport
network”whilemixingEthernettrafficfromclientsthatarealreadyVLAN‐tagged.

Whenusingthistypeof“Provider Tagging ”youshouldkeepthefollowinginmind:
• UnderProviderTagging,thesystemdouble‐tagsegre ssframestowardstheProvider’s
network.ThesystemaddsatagwithaVLANIDandEtherT ype=0x9100toallframes,as
configuredbytheserviceprovider(ProviderVLANID).
• Thesystemalwaysaddstoeachframe,tagswithVLANIDandEtherT ype=0x9100.
