SYMPTOM
1. The LCD touch screen does not turn on when the main power switch is turned on, but
the machine functions can work.
2. The LCD touch screen does not turn on when the machine recovers from Energy Saver
mode, but the machine can receive and print out print jobs.
CAUSE
LCDC firmware bug
SOLUTION
Machines in production:
The LCDC firmware was modified (v1.18, P/N D1171491; applied from Oct. 2012).
Important: This version was installed at the factory using a special tool, and so will not
be released. In the field, update to the versions shown below.
In the field:
Temporary
Until you can update the firmware, turn the machine main power OFF/ON.
Permanent:
Install the following two firmware versions (see Update Procedure below):
