6.6.3 Removing and installing the hard disk or SSD in the removable tray
Requirement
● The device is equipped with the drive cage type A.
● If there is no RAID: The device is fully disconnected from the mains voltage, see section
"Switching off the device (Page 63)".
● The front door is open; see section "Opening the front door (Page 76)".
● Screwdriver T10 for loosening the HDD
● Screwdriver T8 for loosening the SSD
Procedure
Removal
1. Open the lock of the removable tray with the appropriate key.
2. Open the tray bracket on the removable tray and open it at the highlighted spot in the
direction of the arrow until you feel a slight resistance.
3. Now grip the tray bracket to the right of the notch, pull the removable tray all the way out
of the device and put it down.
4. Loosen the highlighted screws on the bottom of the removable tray and remove the drive.
The figure on the left shows an HDD as the drive and the figure on the right shows an
SSD.
