moistened only with clear water.
3. Wipe the outside of the device with a
damp cloth.
4. Dry all parts with a cloth.
Steam nozzle
You should disassemble the steam nozzle8
once a day and clean it thoroughly.
1. Let the steam nozzle8 cool down.
2. Pull the spout off the steam nozzle8.
3. Clean the spout thoroughly by hand
with a mild detergent. Rinse several
times with clear, hot water. Or clean
them in the dishwasher (e.g. in the cut-
lery basket).
4. Wipe the inner tube of the steam noz-
zle8 thoroughly with a damp cloth.
NOTE: if necessary, use a little detergent.
Clean thoroughly several times with a cloth
that has only been moistened with clear wa-
ter.
5. Slide the spout back onto the steam
nozzle8.
Filter and portafilter
1. Even if you always use the same fil-
ter1/2, you should remove it from the
portafilter19 at least once a week.
2. Rinse the portafilter19 thoroughly un-
der hot water.
3. You can put the filters1/2 in the dish-
washer.
4. Dry both parts thoroughly before reas-
sembling them.
Water tank
1. You should clean the inside of the water
tank3 with a little mild detergent ap-
prox. every 2 weeks.
2. Afterwards, rinse it thoroughly with
clear tap water.
3. Wipe the hose6 thoroughly with a
damp cloth using a little detergent.
Clean thoroughly several times with a
cloth that has only been moistened with
clear water.
4. Dry the water tank3 from the outside
before inserting it.
16. Descaling
Like any hot water appliance, this espresso
machine must be 0 regularly. Lime deposits
form inside the device and on small open-
ings (e.g. on the steam nozzle8). This im-
pairs the functionality and damages the
device in the long run.
1. Fill the water tank3 with cold tap water
up to the MAX marking.
2. Dissolve 2 level tablespoons (approx.
30 grams) of citric acid in it.
3. Push the water tank3 into the device.
4. Switch on the device with the on/off
switch 22 and let it preheat.
5. The dial5 is set to OFF.
6. Insert the portafilter19 without the fil-
ter1/2.
7. Place a container (approx. 250 ml) un-
der the portafilter19.
