8 System Decommissioning
8.1 Disconnecting Inverter
CAUTION
Danger of burns!
Even if the inverter is shut down, it may still be hot and cause burns. Wear protective
gloves before operating the inverter after it cools down.
For maintenance or other service work, the inverter must be switched off.
Proceed as follows to disconnect the inverter from the AC and DC power sources. Lethal
voltages or damage to the inverter will follow if otherwise.
step 1 Disconnect the external AC circuit breaker and prevent it from inadvertent reconnection.
step 2 Rotate the DC switch(if there is) to the "OFF" position for disconnecting all of the PV string inputs.
step 3 Wait about 5 minutes until the capacitors inside the inverter completely discharge.
step 4 Ensure that the DC cable is current-free with a current clamp.

8.2 Dismantling the Inverter
CAUTION
Risk of burn injuries and electric shock!
After the inverter is powered off for 5 minutes, measure the voltage and current with
professional instrument. Only when there is no voltage nor current can operators who
wear protective equipment operate and maintain the inverter.
