Operation Manual 8. Inverter Functions
47
No matter the fault is on the DC side or on the AC side, a thorough checking and
troubleshooting after the system is power down is necessary.
For the AC parallel connection version, any unit's "Insulation low" alarm means
that a fault occurs to the system DC or AC resistance. Check the DC and AC
resistance of each unit. Contact Sungrow Service Dept. for details.
8.12 Grid Self-Establishment and Debugging
If there is no AC power or the grid cannot supply power due to certain reasons before the
plant debugging, you can enable the inverter grid self-establishment function and establish
a grid loop in the inverter AC side. The inverter internal communication is normal and you
can check the system related information through the LCD. Before the grid-connection and
debugging, this self-established grid can meet the on-site communication and other
requirements to shorten the plant pre-debugging time. The enable of this function and the
related parameter setting should be performed by qualified personnel. Please contact
Sungrow Service Dept. for details.

8.13 Deep Standby Function
In the deep standby mode, the inverter disconnects the power supply and distribution
system (including external power supply) and keeps only power supply for background
communication, thereby reducing system losses.
Before delivery, the function is deactivated by default.
On site, the function can be activated based on the distribution load conditions. After the
function is enabled, the standby consumption may slightly differ due load differences.
Contact the service department of Sungrow to activate this function if necessary.
Do not enable the function when the inverter is integrated with a Ethernet switch.
8.14 Protection Function
The inverter has complete protection functions to protect itself when input voltage or grid is
abnormal until the anomaly is removed and the inverter can operate normally.
DC over-voltage protection
When the DC voltage of the PV array exceeds the max. DC voltage, the inverter will stop
operating, send warning signal and display the fault type on the LCD screen.
