PISTON SEAL
• Install the piston seals as shown in the illustration.
O-RING
• Install the new O-ring 1 and reassemble caliper halves.
• Temporarily tighten the air bleeder valve 2.
• Tighten each bolt to the specified torque.
Front brake caliper housing bolt 3:
22 N·m (2.2 kgf-m, 16.0 lb-ft)
09930-11920: Torx bit JT40H
09930-11940: Bit holder
CALIPER INSTALLATION
Install the caliper in the reverse order of removal. Pay attention
to the following points:
• Install the spring and brake pads. (8-64)
• Install the brake caliper. (8-64)
• Tighten each bolt to the specified torque.
Front brake hose union bolt:
23 N·m (2.3 kgf-m, 16.5 lb-ft)
Dust seal
Piston seal
Caliper body
Replace the O-ring with a new one.
* The seal washers should be replaced with the new
ones to prevent fluid leakage.
* Bleed air from the system after reassembling the cal-
iper. (2-26)
