USB Operation
The USB memory operation offers a variety of capabilities. As an example, a USB device
can be used to store readings either directly from the A/D or by transferring readings
from internal memory. The data stored in the USB memory device is in a comma
delimited (CSV) format.
USB Storage Capacity and Write Time
The USB storage limit is 50,000 readings every time START is pressed (F1 soft key
press). Previous versions stored 50,000 readings in 10 files, each with 5,000 readings.
This version stores 50,000 readings in five files, with 10,000 readings each.
If storing readings to the USB memory device is not completed (or is interrupted by
changing function, NPLC, remote...), press MEMORY, MANAGE MEMORY,
INIT MEAS TO USB so volatile readings in internal memory are stored to the USB.
If STOP is selected during storage to the USB device, readings in internal memory will
be written directly to the device. Note that this may take several seconds. A USB memory
device should never be removed while a write is occurring.
The data is initially stored in internal memory and then transferred to the USB memory
device. For large data samples (i.e. > 10,000 readings), when 10,000 readings have been
stored in the internal memory, the data will be transferred to the USB memory device.
