Why can't the 2450 read my USB flash drive?
Verify that the flash drive is formatted with the FAT32 file system. The 2450 only supports FAT and
FAT32 drives using MBR (Master Boot Record).

, you can check the file system by checking the properties of the USB flash
drive.
Higher capacity USB drives take longer to read.
How do I change the command set?
You can change the command set that you use with the 2450. The remote command sets that are
available include:
• SCPI: An instrument-specific language built on the SCPI standard.
• TSP: A scripting programming language that contains instrument-specific control commands that
can be executed from a stand-alone instrument. You can use TSP to send individual commands
or use it to combine commands into scripts.
• SCPI 2400: An instrument-specific language that allows you to run code developed for earlier
Series 2400 instruments.
If you change the command set, reboot the instrument.
You cannot combine the command sets.
As delivered from Keithley Instruments, the 2450 is set to work with the SCPI command set.
If you choose the SCPI 2400 command set, you will not have access to some of the extended
ranges and other features that are now available using the SCPI command set. In addition, some
Series 2400 code will work differently in the 2450 than it did in the earlier instrument. In the Model

differences.
