equipmentmaintenance.Severalmaintenanceprocedureshavebreak-in
intervalsidentiedintheoperatorsmanual.
•Beforeservicingormakingadjustmentstothepull-behindrotarymower,
disengagethetowvehiclePTO,positionpull-behindrotarymoweronalevel
surfaceandlowerpull-behindrotarymowertotheground.Applytowvehicle
parkingbrake,stopengineandremovekeyfromtheignitionswitch.
•Makesurethatthemachineisinsafeoperatingconditionbykeepingallthe
nuts,bolts,andscrewstight.
•Ensurethatallofthehydrauliclineconnectorsaretightandthatallthe
hydraulichosesandlinesareingoodconditionbeforeapplyingpressureto
thehydraulicsystem.
•Useeyeprotectionwhenworkingonthehydraulicsystemandits
components.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin-holeleaksinthehydrauliclines
thatejecthydraulicuidunderhighpressure.Usecardboardorpapertond
hydraulicleaks.Thehydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecanpenetrate
theskinandcauseinjury.Ifhydraulicuidisaccidentallyinjectedintothe
skin,youmusthaveitsurgicallyremovedwithinafewhoursbyadoctor
familiarwiththistypeofinjury.Otherwise,gangrenemayresult.
•Beforedisconnectingorperforminganyworkonthehydraulicsystem,
releaseallthepressureinthesystembyparkingthemachineonalevel
surface,loweringthecuttingunit(orimplement)completely,andthenshutting
offtheengine.
•NeverstepoverthePTOshafttoreachothersideofthepull-behindmower.
Walkaroundthemachineinstead.
•Beforedisconnectingthepull-behindrotarymowerfromthetowvehicle,
installthestoragestandtothepull-behindrotarymowerframeandpark
themoweronahard,levelsurface.
•Usecarewhencheckingorservicingthecuttingunits.Alwaysweargloves,
andusecautionwhenservicingthecuttingunits.
•Whenremovingthecuttingunits,tires,orperformingotherservice,usethe
correctblocks,hoists,andjackstoraiseandsupportthemachine.Ensure
thatthemachineisparkedonasolid,levelsurface,suchasaconcrete
oor.Alwaysblockthewheelswithchocks.Useappropriatejackstandsto
supporttheraisedmachine.Failingtoproperlysupportthemachinewith
appropriatejackstandscancausethemachinetomoveorfallandcanresult
inpersonalinjury.
•Ifmajorrepairsarenecessary,contactyourAuthorizedT oroDistributor.
•Atthetimeofmanufacture,themachineconformedtoalloftheapplicable
safetystandards.T oensuretheoptimumperformanceandcontinued
safeuseofthemachine,useonlygenuineTororeplacementpartsand
accessories.Useofnon-Tororeplacementpartsandaccessoriescanresultin
non-conformancewithsafetystandardsandcanpotentiallyvoidthewarranty.
