6. Install a new filter and connect the hoses.
Note: Ensure that the filter is orientated as
shown.
7. Slide the hose clamps back into place to
secure the fuel hoses to the filter.
8. Prime the filter and the lines to the high
pressure pump.
9. Start the engine and inspect for leaks around
the filter hose connections.
Draining the Fuel Tank
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.

2. Align a drain pan under the fuel tank-drain
valve
.
3. Open the drain valve and allow the fuel to drain
from the tank.
4. Use clean fuel to flush out the tank.
5. Close the drain valve.
Inspecting the Fuel Lines and Connections
1. Inspect the fuel lines for deterioration, damage, or loose connections.
2. Replace any deteriorated clamps or hoses.
Note: Prime the fuel system if you replace any fuel lines.
