e-BRIDGE Re-Rite offers advanced solutions which automate, simplify and streamline PDF
output. These features will allow you to control how your PDF file appears to others when you
send it.
Features
PDF Security
e-BRIDGE Re-Rite supports the generation of secure PDF files. Now you can produce
protected PDF documents by using the security options e-BRIDGE Re-Rite provides. It applies
encryption algorithms and password protection that prevent un-authorized access to your PDF.
For example, users can specify passwords to restrict printing, editing, copying and document
opening. It is also possible to encrypt the document and only make it viewable upon entering a
user password.
Different Output versions
This e-BRIDGE Re-Rite feature enables you to convert PDF files between different versions.
You can specify which version of PDF to use as output. e-BRIDGE Re-Rite supports versions
1.3, 1.4,1.5, PDF/A-1a, . This feature can convert PDF files between different versions for
compatibility purposes.
PDF Format Supported
e-BRIDGE Re-Rite supports 3 kinds of PDF output format:
• PDF1 - Text in PDF Format.
o Files are converted to Text in PDF documents. Only areas recognised as text
are converted.
o This format can be viewed with applications such as Adobe Reader.
• PDF2 - Text on image PDF Format.
o Files are converted to Text on image PDF documents. This option saves the
entire page as a picture image then overlays recognised text on top.
o This format can be viewed with applications such as Adobe Reader.
• PDF3 - Image on Text PDF Format.
Files are converted to image on Text PDF documents. This option saves the entire
page as a picture image and places recognised text underneath.
Best suited to documents that will be archived or where a replica of the original
document is required, such as an incoming fax.
This format can be viewed with applications such as Adobe Reader.
