Charging time – braking system
Pump the brake pedal a number of times until the pressure
goes under 200 kPa (2kp/cm2)
Run the engine at approx. 1000 rpm.
Increase of pressure from 200 till 400 kPa (2–4 kp/cm
2
)
should be reached in 1 to 2 minutes. The charge capacity
indicates the condition and working order of the compres-
sor.
Battery fluid
The fluid level should be 10mm above the battery cells. Top
up with distilled water if the fluid level is too low.
Don’t overfill, if the acid spills out it can cause damage.
Check also to see that the cables are properly attached
when checking the level.
