I am using a 3-line jack, and I want to use 1 cable to conenct the phone.
Can I do that?
No. CM18445/AM18447 console can take maximum of 2-line per jack.
Therefore, you will need to install and use a line splitter*, or have your
telephone service provider to rewire the service. In other words, you have to
connect the two lines to L1/L2 port, and the single line to L4 port.
I have a 5-line jack in office, and I am on IP business line. Can I use this
system? How do I install?
Since you are using IP business line and having a 5-line jack, you will need
your telephone service provider to rewire before installation. The ports in
CM18445/AM18447 console can only allow maximum of 2-line per jack, and
the maximum number of lines it can handle is 4.
I set up the system, but there are couple of locations where the signal
from the console can’t reach. Is there a way to work around this?
There is no range booster available for this CM series.
Is it possible to install a credit card machine with this phone? How about
a fax machine?
This console does not have AUX ports nor DATA ports. Also, it cannot
determine a voice to a fax call. You need to have a separate wall outlet to
connect your credit card machine.
On the other hand, you can use a splitter* from the port where the fax line is
connected. Then, set your fax machine to just answer fax call
I purchased 7 units of CM18445/AM18447, how should I set up the
system?
CM18445/AM18447 is the main console of the system, and having seven
of them will not enable you to set up the system. Instead, you need one
CM18445/AM18447 console and six CM18245/AM18247 deskets.
The system can only support 4-line in total.
While the console’s ports (L1/L2 and L3/L4) can each take up to maximum
of 2-line, the console’s ports (L2 and L4) can only take single line.
If you have four separate single lines, then you can plug in one phone line to
each port at the rear side of the console.
