Determine Embedded
Module Update Time
The module update time is the time that is required for the module to sample and
convert the input signals of all enabled analog input channels and provide the
resulting data values to the controller.
The module update time is calculated by adding the update times for each
enabled analog input channel on the module. Each channel update time
calculation is the result of several configuration choices that are described in the
following section.
Channel Update Times
Some combination of the following times determines the channel update time for
an enabled analog input channel:
• Channel Input Type and Filter Frequency Selection Update Time

Required for channel update time calculation
• Cold Junction Compensation Update Times
- Optional for channel
update time calculation time
• Open Circuit Detection Update Time
- Optional for channel update time
calculation time
IMPORTANT
This section applies to the 1769-L24ER-QBFC1B and 1769-L27ERM-QBFC1B
because only those controllers have and embedded universal analog
input points.
