PRE-RIDE CHECKS
WARNING
Check the vehicle before each ride to
ensure safe riding. (See the PRE-RIDE
CHECKS CHART). Failure to do so may
lead to severe injury or vehicle damage.
If you have any doubts on the operation of
the vehicle controls or believe that any
vehicle components might be faulty, do not
hesitate to contact an
aprilia Official
dealer.
A quick check is done in no time, but does
wonders for your safety.
NOTE This vehicle provides real-time
diagnostics of failures stored into the
Engine Control Unit.
Each time the ignition key is set to "", the
wording "Efi" (1) appears on the right side
of the multifunction display for
approximately three seconds.
CAUTION
If the wording "Efi" (1) is displayed
during normal engine operation, it
means that the Engine Control Unit has
detected an anomaly.
In most cases, the engine will keep
running, although giving less
performance. At any rate, contact an
aprilia Official dealer immediately.
CAUTION
After covering the first 1000 km (625 mi)
and every 10,000 km (6250 mi)
afterwards, the "SERVICE" warning (2)
appears on the right display.
When you see this warning, contact an
aprilia Official dealer to have the
vehicle serviced and inspected
according to the periodic maintenance
chart, see page 63 (PERIODIC
MAINTENANCE CHART). To cancel the
"SERVICE" warning, turn the key to ON
while holding down the "+" and "-"
buttons at the same time for at least 15
seconds.
