▶ Dismount the cable lugs.

6.5.3 Coating terminal plate and pins
In case of low temperature application with low suction
gas superheat, frost may form on the motor side and
partly also on the terminal box. To prevent voltage
flashovers due to moisture, coating of terminal plate
and pins with isolation paste is recommended.
6.5.4 Terminal box heater
For critical applications at lower temperatures, and es-
pecially at high humidity, it can be advantageous to
heat the terminal box. The terminal box cover can be
retrofitted with a heater for this purpose.
▶ Series HS.64, HS.74, CS.6. and CS.7.: Mount new
terminal box cover with integrated heater.
▶ From series HS.85 and CS.8. on: Screw the terminal
box heater at the corners, inserting the screws into
the holes in the centre of the terminal box cover.
▶ Connect the heater electrically.
▶ Preferably switch the voltage supply on and off via
an auxiliary NO contact to the 1st part winding or to
the main contactor (Y/Δ).
▶ Use a suitable fuse.
