5.11 Information in the case of any faults
Fault Note
The DCU 220 cannot
be switched on and
the display remains
blank or flickers.
The capacity of the internal storage bat-
tery is insufficient to start the DCU 220.
Connect the external power supply unit.
If the DCU 220cannot be started with
the external power supply unit, contact
customer service
DCU 220 A blue
screen is displayed
after switching on
(after 5-10 minutes).
One possible reason may be that
the Bosch Bluetooth USB adapter is
plugged in, in addition to the enabled
internal Bluetooth hardware.
Remedy:
1. Remove the Bluetooth USB adapter.
2. DCU 220 Reboot.

i Start the recovery process (see sec. 6.4) if:
R Your Windows 7 operating system does not start.
R You want to restore the default windows settings.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning
6.1.1 DCU 220
Only use a soft cloth and neutral detergents to clean
the housing and display of the DCU 220. Do not use
abrasive cleaning agents and coarse workshop cloths!
6.1.2 Data carrier
Clean the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM with a disk cleaning kit
or carefully wipe over the silver side of the disk with a
soft, lint-free cotton cloth. Never use paper towels, as
these could cause scratches.
6.1.3 DVD drive
Clean the DVD drive at regular intervals with a cleaning
disk for the CD-ROM or DVD drive. The appropriate
cleaning disks are available from most computer or en-
tertainment electronics shops.
