Structure and meaning
Warning notices warn of dangers to the user or people
in the vicinity. Warning notices also indicate the con-
sequences of the hazard as well as preventive action.

2.3 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
The KTS 560 / 590 (KTS 5a Series) satisfies the require-
ments of the EMC directive 2004/108/EG.

product as defined by EN 61326-1:2006. The
KTS 560 / 590 (KTS 5a Series) may cause high-fre-
quency household interference (radio interference)
so that interference suppression may be necessary.
In such cases the user may be required to take the
appropriate action.
2.4 Measuring category according to
EN61010-2-030:2010
EN 61010-1:2010 specifies the general safety require-
ments for electrical testers and measuring devices and
defines the measuring categories from 0 to IV in the
section EN 61010-2-030:2010.
The KTS 560 / 590 (KTS 5a Series) is intended for use in
measuring category 0, i.e. for measurements in circuits
with no direct connection to the mains voltage.
