User Bit
The user bit display can be selected from the date or the time of recording, or an identification code consisting of
8 characters in the hexadecimal system. There are sixteen possible characters: the numbers 0 to 9 and the
letters A to F.
In addition to being recorded with clips, the user bit information can be output along with the video signal output
from the HDMI OUT terminal.
Setting the User Bit
1 Press the MENU button.
2 Open the [User Bit Type] submenu.
[3 Recording Setup] > [2] > [User Bit Type]
3 Select the desired option.
Select [ Setting] to set your own identification code, [ Time]
to use the time as user bit, or [ Date] to use the date as the user
bit.
If you selected [ Time] or [ Date], touch [X]. You do not need
to perform the rest of the procedure. If you selected [ Setting], continue the procedure to set the
identification code.
4Touch [Í] or [Î] to set the first character and then touch the next field to set the next digit.
Change the rest of the characters in the same way.
Touch [Cancel] to close the screen without setting the user bit.
5 Touch [OK] and then touch [X].
User Bit Output
The user bit is output from the HDMI OUT terminal in the selected type. When the frame rate set in
[3 Recording Setup] > [1] > [4K Recording] or [HD Recording] is 23.98P and [3 Recording Setup] > [1]
> [User Bit Output Mode] is set to [ Pulldown], the user bit will contain 2:3 pulldown data.
