The Cisco ASR 9001 Router has two bays that support the following Modular Port Adapters (MPAs):

20-Port Gigabit Ethernet Modular Port Adapter, on page 59

4-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Modular Port Adapter, on page 60
•
2-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet Modular Port Adapter, on page 61
•
2-Port 40 Gigabit Ethernet Modular Port Adapter, on page 63
•
1-Port 40 Gigabit Ethernet Modular Port Adapter, on page 65
In the Cisco ASR 9001-S Router, one bay (MPA1) is disabled by default, and can be enabled by a license
upgrade.
