The Camera Delay menu item is always displayed. If you don’t
have a camera or other RCA device connected, this menu op-
tion will not aect device functionality in any way.
The CTS is designed to automatically engage the back-up
camera when the vehicle gear selector is in Reverse (may not
function on all vehicle models). The camera delay will al-
low you to customize the delay time for the device to switch
from the main viewing screen to camera view. If this is set
too short then you’ll see the device blink as you move the
gear selector past Reverse. If it’s set too long the screen may
not appear before you start backing up. Some vehicles will
communicate gear position faster than others, so this menu
option allows you to customize the delay to your liking.
