Fault in Blind Spot Assist system
Malfunction. The indicator lamp lights up
yellow. T
he yellow central warning lamp

Go to a correspondingly qualified work-
shop.
No sensor visibility, fault message, sys-
tem switches itself o
— Clean radar sensors and remove stickers
or accessories from radar sensors
→ page 363.
— Check for any visible damage.
— If the problem persists, go to a corre-
spondingly qualified workshop.
The system behaves dierently than
expected
— The radar sensors are dirty → page 363.
The sensor visibility may be impaired by
dirt and snow or also residue from clean-
ing agents or coatings.
— The general conditions for system opera-
tion have not been met→ page 180.
— The radar sensors are covered by water.
— The vehicle is damaged in the area of the
radar sensors, e.g. caused by parking col-
lisions.
— The detection ranges of the radar sen-
sors are blocked by add-on parts, e.g. bi-
cycle carriers.
— Changes have been made to the paint-
work in the area of the radar sensors or
structural modifications have been
made, e.g. on the vehicle front end or the
running gear.
— Adhesive tinted films have been added to
the side windows aer delivery.
— If the problem persists, go to a corre-
spondingly qualified workshop.
Touch panels do not react as expected
Moisture, dirt and grea
se can impede the
functioning of the touch panels.
