2.2 Turning On and Off the Printer
Turning On the Printer
1. Press the power switch of the printer to the
<I> position.
2. When the power is on, [Please wait...] is
displayed on the control panel. Check that
this display changes to [Ready to Print].
Important
• The [Please wait...] message indicates the printer is
warming up and not ready to print.
• If an error message appears, refer to"6.6 Error
Messages (In Alphabetical Order)" (P. 118) for a
solution.
Turning Off the Printer
Important
• Do not turn off the printer while printing is in progress. Doing so may cause a paper jam.
• Do not turn off the printer when any print jobs remain in the printer. Doing so will deletes the print jobs or
other data stored in memory.
1. On the control panel display, confirm that
no job is in progress.
2. Press the power switch of the printer to the
<{> position to turn off the printer.
