3.8.2 Probe sheath assembly
Description
The probe sheath is an accessory to the disposable bag. The probe sheath provides
aseptic connection of a probe with the cell culture inside the disposable bag. The probe
sheath with the inserted probe constitutes the probe sheath assembly, which is inserted
into the disposable bag probe port.
The probe sheath is provided as a single unit and includes an aseptic connection device
(ACD). The ACD is used to connect the probe sheath assembly to the disposable bag. The
probe sheath is compatible with the following 12 × 225 mm probes:

Conductivity probe
•
pH probe
The probes are connected to the probe sheath using a PG 13.5 threaded connector.
The probe sheath assembly must be autoclaved before connecting it to a probe port.
