HRN216 VARIABLE MOWING SYSTEM/ MOWER DECK/WHEELS
FRONT COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
REMOVAL
1. Place wooden blocks underneath the metal mower
deck so that the mower is high enough off the ground
to access underneath the mower deck with a wrench.
Tipping the mower over on the right-hand side is not
recommended because it will make it more difficult to remove
the front cover and front axle assembly.
2. Remove the two shoulder bolts inside the front of the
metal mower deck.
3. Remove the four 6 mm flange bolts underneath the
front of the metal mower deck.
4. Remove the front cover assembly from the metal
mower deck by sliding the assembly forward, and then
lifting.
5. Remove the front wheel/axle assembly (P. 1 2- 1 8
).
a. Release the height adjuster while pulling the
left-hand side of the front axle assembly out of the
front cover locking tabs.
b. Pull the right-hand side of the front axle assembly
out of the front cover locking tabs.
