Eye width
Eye width is a measure of the horizontal opening of an eye diagram. A
horizontal time histogram is constructed from the color grade database to
determine the mean location of the crossing points, as well as the statistical
distribution of the crossing points. As would be expected, noise and jitter will
cause a large variance in the location of the crossing points and result in the
closure of the eye.
