Symptom 3
Symptom
The ALM LED is solid on or blinking, which indicates that the router is faulty.
Example 1
The ALM LED is on when the CPU is overheated. The system gives the following information:
%Jun 25 14:38:45:444 2007 HP DRVMSG/3/TempCritical:
CPU temperature critical in Slot 3, index is 1.
Example 2
The ALM LED is on when the system power is insufficient. The system gives the following
information:
%Apr 26 12:07:42:320 2000 HP
DRVMSG/1/InSufficientPwr:
No sufficient power, failed to power on slot 3.
Example 3
The ALM LED is on when one of the redundant power modules configured based on Table 1-6
in Chapter 1 "Router Overview" is faulty. The system gives the following information:
%Apr 26 16:16:49:518 2000 HP DRVMSG/1/REDUNDANT POWER-SUPPLY
FAILURE:
Redundant power-supply failed, left 0
unit(s).
The power-supply policy redundant module-count command can be used to specify the
number of redundant power modules. The display power-supply command can be used to
show the system power information.
For example, if the display power-supply command is used during a 1+1 power redundancy
failure, the system gives the following information:
<HP>display power-
supply
System Config Redundant-module :

System Actual Redundant-module : 0
System Power Total : 650

System Power Redundance : 0
