TCP Event Messages
NonStop Pathway/iTS Management Programming Manual—426749-002
11- 3
Event-Message Text
syntax boxes in this section, subject tokens may be presented in the form ZPWY-TKN-
nnnNAME, where nnn represents one of the following Pathway/iTS object types:
For a description of these object types, see Object Types on page 3-6. Object types
not listed above are TS/MP objects, described in the TS/MP Management
Programming Manual.
Event-Message Text
The syntax box contains the text version of the event message, which is available
through the EMSTEXT procedure. When you use the EMSTEXT procedure to get the
text version of an event message, you request either the display format or the console-
compatible format, as described in the EMS Manual. In the case of Pathway
subsystem event messages, the two versions are identical.
Additional Information for Terminal Errors
Some messages pertaining to terminal errors include additional event-message text
explaining the reason for the terminal error. The additional information, which is placed
at the end of the event-message text and always starts with three hyphens ( --- ), is
formatted as follows:
--- INST CODE inst-code AT OFFSET %offset IN PROGRAM UNIT
program-unit (version) IN TCLPROG tclprog
inst-code is the program unit instruction code; offset is the address of the
instruction code within the program unit; program-unit is the program unit name;
version is the program unit version; and tclprog is the name of the file where the
program unit is located.
For example:
*1048* TERM TERM-1, SUSPENDED: *3117* SERVER CLASS UNDEFINED ---
INST CODE: SEND AT OFFSET %37 IN PROGRAM UNIT PROG-X(1) IN
TCLPROG \SYS.$VOL.SUBVOL.POBJ
The additional information greatly increases the size of messages sent to a log file.
Simple Tokens
The notation used in the box for simple tokens is a shorthand version of the essential
information given in the DDL TOKEN-CODE statement.
