Best Practice Notes
If a driver disk is used, the following actions occur for any “tbz2” packages on it:
The packages are installed to the target.
A copy of the repository is made so the drivers are loaded at runtime.
The copy is placed into memory.
If constructing a driver disk that also includes “user-space” tools, and if these result in a large
repository, it is best to split it into two repositories and require people using the “packages.site”
mechanism to install add-ons. Alternatively, provide a “post-install” script to install them after the fact.
