Control
CAUTION:
Always
set
the
VOLUME
control
to
MIN
before
turning
on
aconnected
source
such
as
a
VCR
or
Record
Player,
or
starting
any
of
the
other
sound
sources
such
as
the
radio,
ice
af
tape,
or
CD
player.
If
the
VOLUME
control
is
left
turned
up,
the
sudden
blast
of
sound
energy
can
permanently
damage
your
hearing
and/or
ruin
your
speakers.
STEREO
ETIQUETTE
Have
consideration
for
others.
Set
the
volume
toa
level
which
will
not
disturb
others.
At
night,
the
CA-MXG9BK
can
still
be
enjoyed
at
low
volume
levels.
Close
the
window
or
use
headphones
to
avoid
disturbing
others.

Bass
Control
You
can
reduce
or
increase
the
amount
of
Bass
reinforcement
by
adjusting
the
TWIN
BASS
control.
When
set
to
the
NORMAL
position,
no
bass
reinforcement
is
applied.

Balance
Control
If
the
sounds
you
hear
from
the
right
and
left
speakers
are
unequal,
you
can
adjust
the
speaker
output
balance
with
the
BALANCE
control.

High-fidelity
Playback
When
the
SOURCE
DIRECT
button
is
pressed,
the
LED
on
the
button
comes
on
and
“DIRECT
ON”
appears
on
the
display.
By
bypassing
the
GRAPHIC
EQUALIZER's
effects,
the
path
of
the
audio
signal
will
be
shortened,
giving
a
higher
fidelity
sound.

Effects
Controls:
SEA
Preset
Pattern,
Panoramic
Surround
mode,
DSP
Programs
(Dolby
Pro
Logic,
DAP,
DSEP)
Experiment
with
and
set
your
special
effects.
If
you
don't
want
to
use
the
effect,
just
press
the
DSP
button.
“DSP OFF”
appears
on
the
display.

When
the
PRESET
button
is
pressed,
the
LED
on
the
SEA
button
also
comes

Each
time
you
press
the
PRESET
button,
the
SEA
pattern
will
change.If
you

want

use

effect

when
the
LED
goes
off,
so
does
the
SEA
effect.
DOLBY
PRO
LOGIC:
When
either
the
PRO
LOGIC
or
3CH
LOGIC
button
is
pressed,
the
LED
on
the
DSP
button
also
comes
on,
and
“PRO
LOGIC”
or
“3CH
LOGIC”
appears
PRESET
on
the
display.
To
turn
off
the
PRO
LOGIC
effects,
just
press
the
DSP
button.
DAP:
Digital
Acoustic
Processor
When
the
DAP
mode
buttons
are
pressed,
the
LED
on
the
PANORAMIC
SURROUND
button
and
the
DSP
button
also
comes
on.
If
you
don't
want
to
use
the
effect
pattern,
just
press
the
DSP
button.

When

DSEP
mode
buttons
are
pressed,
the
LED
on
the
DSP
button
also
comes
on.
If
you
don't
want
to
use

effect

press

DAP
effect
and
the
DSEP
effect
at
the
same
time.
Panoramic
Surround:
-
When
the
PANORAMIC
SURROUND
button
is
pressed,
the
LED
on
the
GEscscor)
button
comes
on.
The
angle
of
the
Optional
Panoramic
shifting
speakers
will
shift
in
accordance
with
the
DSP
modes.
To
turn
off
a
Panoramic
Surround
effect,
just
press
the
PANORAMIC
SURROUND
button
again.
When
the
LED
goes
off,
so
does
the
Panoramic
Surround
effect.
When
you
want
to
cancel
the
DSP
mode,
press
the
DSP
button.
The
LED
on
the
button
goes
off.
