Using CD Edit Mode
The CA-MXG9BK has four CD Edit modes; AI Edit, Auto Edit, Program Edit and Multi-Edit. To take advantage of these Edit modes, read
thefollowing instructions carefully.
What is AI Edit?
This is an editing function which complements the Auto Edit mode. You can
use it to maximize the use of the remaining tape length. When the tape comes
to its end, the FADE mode will function automatically. Up to 16 tracks can
be edited for one side.

What is Auto Edit?
To prevent the beginning of the track from not being recorded, the last track
will be replaced automatically in accordance with the remaining tape length.
Blank The editing will start with the earlier tracks and the tracks will be selected so
* they can fit on the tape. No track is selected twice. However, depending on
Remaining time : the remaining time, the same track may be selected twice to fill in the
3 recording time at the end of the tape. After up to 16 tracks are edited, the
editing procedure will stop.

What is PRGM(program) Edit?
Using this mode you can select which CD tracks go on which side of the tape,
and in what order.

What is Multi Edit?
Bei S Using this mode you can select tracks from several different CDs. The
Remaining time | NONSTOP and FADE NONSTOP modes cannot be used with Multi Edit

Operating procedures
1. Load a CD in the tray.

. : 2. Press the EDIT MODE button to select the EDIT mode you want to use.
o Multi Edit oS Each time you press the button the indicator is displayed as follows

3. Press the TIME button to set the time duration.
Each time you press the button, the pre-programmed tape length is
shown on the display as follows.

If you want to use the Remote, you can set the tape duration by using the +10
button and 10 keys. (Make sure that the TUNER/CD/DSP is set to the CD
position.)
ex. C-30: +10, +10, 10.
C-46: +10, +10, +10, +10, 6.
C-74:; +410, +10, +10, +10.....Press the +10 button seven times,
then press 4 button.
This number shows the how many times you have pressed the +10 button.
