Set
the
AM
Tuner
Interval
Spacing
Tuning
in
a
Preset
Station
The
Remote
is
very
useful
for
this
because
you
can
select
channels
by
number
using
the
10
keys.
1.
Set
the
TUNER/CD/DSP
selector
to
the
TUNER
position.
2.
Press
the
10
keys
to
select
the
channel
you
want.
You
can
also
tune
in
the
stations
by
using
the
PRESET<
or>
button
on
the
main
Unit.
Each
time
you
press
the
PRESET
<
or
>
button,
the
channel
increases
or
decreases
by
one.
If
you
hold
the
button
down,
the
tuner
will
cycle
through
the
stations
one
after
another.
Selecting
the
FM
Tuning
Mode
When
an
FM
stereo
broadcast
is
hard
to
receive
or
noisy:
Press
the
FM
MODE/MUTE
button
on
the
main
Unit
so
that
reception
improves,
although
you
lose
the
stereo
effect.
In
this
state,
you
will
hear
noise
while
tuning
into
stations.
MONO
lights
up
on
the
display.
To
restore
stereo
effect
Press
the
FM
MODE/MUTE
button
again
so
that
AUTO
appears
on
the
display.
In
this
state,
when
a
program
is
broadcast
in
stereo,
you
will
hear
stereo
sound;
when
in
monaural,
you
will
hear
monaural
sounds.
In
this
state,
you
won't
hear
noise
while
tuning
into
stations.
Using
the
Tuner
Entry
Function
When
the
CD
or
tape
playback
ends,
the
source
will
automatically
switch
to
TUNER.
Your
listening
enjoyment
will
thereby
not
be
interrupted.
So
with
Tuner
Entry
on,
the
Unit
automatically
shifts
to
the
most
recently
tuned
radio
station
when
a
tape
or
CD
comes
to
an
end.
Press
the
TUNER
ENTRY
button.
The
LED
next
to
it
lights
up
when
Tuner
Entry
is
on
and
is
off
when
Tuner
Entry
is
off.
When
the
CD
or
tape
playback
ends,
the
source
will
switch
to
the
most
recently
tuned
radio
station
tuned.
Note
In
five
situations
even
if
Tuner
Entry
is
on,
it
will
not
take
effect,
and
the
source
will
not
switch
to
TUNER
after
the
CD
or
tape
playback
ends.
1)
When
you
intentionally
stop
the
CD
or
tape
deck
by
pressing
the
STOP/CLEAR
@
button
on
the
CD
player
or
the
@
button
on
the
tape
deck.
2)
When
any
timer
activated
CD
or
tape
stops
playing.
3)
When
you
set
the
REVERSE
MODE
to
the
c2>
position.
4)
When
you
set
REPEAT
or
REPEAT
I
playing.
5)
When
you
set
AUTO
POWER
OFF.
Some
countries
space
AM
stations
9
kHz
apart,
and
some
countries
use
10
kHz
spacing.
1.
To
select
the
10
kHz
interval,
be
sure
the
power
is
off,
but
the
Unit
is
plugged
into
the
wall
socket.
Hold
down
the
PRESET
>
button
and
press
the
POWER
ON/STANDBY
button.
Now
the
10
kHz
interval
is
selected.
2.
To
change
back
from
10
kHz
to
the
factory
setting
of
9
kHz,
be
sure
the
power
is
off,
but
the
Unit
is
plugged
into
the
wall
socket.
Hold
down
the
PRESET
<
button
and
press
the
POWER
ON/STANDBY
button,
and
the
CA-MXG9BK
in
now
set
for
9
kHz
spacing.
