You
can
use
Dolby
Pro
Logic
mode
or
3ch
Logic
mode.
You
can
use
these
two
modes
either
with
or
without
a
single
center
speaker.
When
using
without
a
center
speaker,
you
can
change
the
panoramic
shifting
speakers
inside
the
cabinet
to
function
like
the
center
speaker.
The
speakers
shift
according
to
the
respective
DAP
program.
Changing
the
Speaker
Angle
Using
DSP
(Digital
Signal
Processor)
Programs
The
CA-MXG9BK
has
12
DSP
programs:
Dolby
Pro
Logic,
Dolby
3ch
Logic,
DAP
Programs
(D.CLUB,
LIVE,
DOME,
HALL,
CHURCH),
DSEP
Programs
(SQUEEZE,
VOCAL
MASKING,
KEY
CONTROL,
SCRATCH,
FLANGER).
With
these
programs
and
the
panoramic
shifting
speakers
(Optional)
the
sound
field
can
be
enlarged
to
give
a
more
realistic
sound.
You
can
choose
the
sound
atmospheres
from
the
following
DSP
programs.

LOGIC

Panoramic
shifting
speakers
inside
the
cabinet
will
shift
corresponding
to
the
respective
DAP
mode.
The
speakers
shift
automatically
inward
or
outward
to
give
you
the
dynamic
sound
fields.
The
mode
can
be
set
from
either
the
Unit
or
the
Remote.
*
In
the
Dolby
Pro
Logic
mode,
the
speakers
will
shift
inward
to
give
a
same
effect
as
if
you
are
using
a
center
speaker
and
make
the
spoken
words
easier
to
hear.
*
Normally,
the
speakers
face
directly
forward
To
change
the
speaker
angle
from
the
Remote.
1.
Setthe
DECK
B/VCR/SPEAKER
selector
tothe
SPEAKER
position.
2.
Press
the
IN/OUT
button
to
change
the
angle.
The
indicator
will
blink
to
indicate
the
speaker's
direction
of
DECK
B
VCR
SPEAKER
movement.
Press
the
IN
button
to
shift
the
speakers
inward.
Press
the
OUT
button
to
shift
the
speakers
outward.

Press
the
AUTO
button
to
shift
the
speakers
automatically
in
accordance
with
the
DSP
program
selected.
When
you
change
the
angle
of
the
speakers
by
using
the
IN
orOUT
button,
the
last
selected
angle
is
memorized.
To
cancel
the
memo-
rized
speaker
angle,
press
the
AUTO
button.
Notes
*
You
can
apply
DAP
modes
when
you
record.

A
sound
cannot
be
dubbed
with
the
DAP
modes
(at
either
normal
or
high
speeds).
To
cancel
Panoramic
Surround
mode
You
can
turn
off
Panoramic
Surround
mode
from
either
the
main
Unit
or
the
Remote.
Just
press
the
PANORAMIC
SURROUND
or
DSP
button.
ON:
the
indicator
on
the
main
Unit
lights
up.
OFF:
the
indicator
on
the
main
Unit
goes
off.

Pro
Logic
DOLBY
PRO
LOGIC:
By
connecting
the
optional
rear
speakers
(SP-ESSBK)
the
sound
reflections
and
the
reverberations
enhance
the
effect
of
movement,
so
you
can
feel
as
if
you
were
in
the
actual
scene.
DOLBY
3CH
LOGIC:
Select
this
mode
when
you
are
not
using
the
rear
speakers.
Try
listening
to
the
source
in
various
sound
modes.
By
using
the
Remote
you
can
stand
back
and
hear
the
sound
differences
as
you
change
modes.
By
altering
the
settings
of
the
following
three
modes
you
can
adjust
the
sound
to
suit
speaker
size
and
the
acoustic
conditions
of
the
room.

MODE
(PHANTOM/NORMAL/WIDE/OFF):
When
you
use
the
DOLBY
3CH
LOGIC
mode,
only
NORMAL,
WIDE,
or
OFF
appear
on
the
display.

Dolby
Pro
Logic
mode,
the
panoramic
shifting
speakers
shift
inwards
pointing
the
center.
Accordingly,
they give
you
the
same
effect
as
if
you
are
using
a
single
center
speaker.
When
you
also
want
to
hear
the
sound
from
the
center
speaker,
you
can
connect
a
conventional
center
speaker
to
the
terminal
on
the
rear
of
the
CA-MXG9BK.
Once
you
have
set
the
mode,
you
can
enter
in
the
mode
directly
every
time
you
want
to
enjoy
the
Dolby
sound,
as
long
as
you
don’t
change
the
speakers
or
the
listening
room.
The
soundtracks
of
video
software
bearing
the
Q{j{Gaeysunnou]
mark*
include
the
same
encoded
surround
information
as
found
in
Dolby
Stereo
films.
The
Dolby
Pro
Logic
Surround
decoder
is
a
consumer
version
of
the
decoding
process
used
in
professional
Dolby
Stereo
equipment,
which
lets
you
recreate
the
theater
ambience
and
effects
of
Dolby
Stereo
at
home.
