OPERATION
STARTING ENGINE
NORMAL STARTING
WARNING
Sit down in the operator's seat before starting the engine.
Do not attempt to start the engine by short-circuiting the engine starting
circuit. Such an act may cause serious bodily injury or fire.
Check that there are no persons or obstacles in the surrounding area,
then sound the horn and start the engine.
Exhaust gas is toxic. When starting the engine in confined spaces, be
particularly careful to ensure good ventilation.
NOTICE
Do not accelerate the engine suddenly before completing the
warming-up operation.
Do not keep the starting motor rotating continuously for more than 20
seconds.
If the engine does not start, wait for at least 2 minutes before trying to
start the engine again.
1.
Turn the key in starting switch (1) to the ON position.
Preheating will automatically start and preheating pilot lamp (2)
will light up.
If the engine water temperature is above 7°C (44.6°F), there is
no need to carry out preheating, so the engine can be started
even if preheating pilot lamp (2) does not go out.
REMARK
Normally, it is enough to carry out only the automatic preheating
operation. If it is desired to extend the preheating time, turn the key
in starting switch (1) to the MANUAL position to make it possible to
carry out preheating manually.
When extending the preheating time, keep it to a maximum of 45
seconds.
