3.7 Troubleshooting Operation

Method of releasing mechanically
1. Remove plugs (1) and (2) at the front of the transmission
case.
2. Of the bolts installing the parking brake chamber, 4 bolts (3)
have a high (3 mm) mounting seat. Remove 2 of bolts (3).
3. Screw bolts (3) into the holes from which plugs (1) and (2)
were removed and tighten uniformly until they stop.
4. This releases the parking brake.

Emergency travel operation
The normal gear shifting operation is carried out by electric sig-
nals. If there should be a failure in the electrical system and the
machine does not move, please contact your KOMATSU distrib-
utor to have the machine moved.
NOTE
Always request your KOMATSU distributor to carry out the
emergency travel operation.
