6.4.1 CHECKLIST: Removing the main boom

This checklist is not a complete operating manual. There are accompanying
operating instructions which are indicated by cross-references.
Observe the warnings and safety instructions specified there!
Prerequisites – The counterweight is unrigged.
– All lattice extensions have been removed.
– All telescopic sections are fully retracted and locked.
– The hook block has been unreeved and the hoist rope has been reeled on
the drum up to the main hoist.
– The superstructure is slewed to the front.
– The truck crane is supported with at least an outrigger span
of 8.030 x 2.50 m (26.3 x 8.2 ft).
Or the parking brake is applied, the truck crane has been aligned horizon-
tally with the level adjustment system and the suspension is locked.
Checklist
1. Raise the main boom.
2. Disconnect the hydraulic/electrical connections;

3. Place the derricking cylinder support on the counterweight platform;
