i The load compartment cover cannot be
used if the standard bench seat (
e page 85)
has been fitted.
E To install the load compartment
cover: insert the load compartment
cover with mounting bush
1 into
right-hand retainer
2 so that the tab
points towards the rear.
E Hold the load compartment cover so
that the left-hand side of the cover is
located over the left-hand retainer.
E Press mounting bush 1 in the direc-
tion of the arrow and allow cover hous-
ing
3 to audibly engage in retainer 2.

E To cover the load compartment: pull
blind
4 by tab 6 to the rear over the
load compartment.
E Clip blind 4 into retainers 5 at the
rear of the vehicle.
E To roll up the load compartment
cover: hold tab
6 and pull it slightly
to the rear to unclip it from retainers
5 at the rear.
E Guide blind 4 slowly back until it is
rolled up.
E To remove the load compartment
cover: roll up blind
4, if necessary.
E Press mounting bush 1 in the direc-
tion of the arrow and lift it out of re-
tainer
2.
E Pull the load compartment cover out of
left-hand retainer

Retractable load compartment floor

Risk of injury
Closely observe the individual steps and the
safety information provided in the following
instructions.
If the retractable load compartment floor is
fitted incorrectly, it could come loose from
the vehicle floor along with the loads that it
is carrying. This could cause damage and /
or serious injury to persons in the vehicle.
Do not release the load compartment floor
on steep uphill gradients. The load compart-
ment floor could extend and thereby cause
injury or damage.
Have the load compartment floor, the lash-
ing eyelets and the lashing materials
checked at a qualified specialist workshop,
e.g. a Mercedes-Benz Service Centre, if they
have been damaged in an accident.
